Eclipse Shadows

This painting (on the right) represents the longing for crescent shadows seen during the 2017 eclipse in the PNW. I watched the eclipse at Marymoor Park in Redmond and was touched by the magic of shadows turning light into crescent shapes through tree branches and the excitement of the community gathering for it. The experience led me to paint celestial bodies and eclipses to have on my walls since events like total solar eclipses in our often cloudy PNW skies happen so rarely.
